“I Thought These Implants Would Be Easy”
James L Soltys DDS Board Certified Prosthodontist, retired
Implant dentistry has been available to all dentists since the mid-1990s, yet long- and short-term outcomes are not always what we expected. This lecture will focus on what to evaluate before initiating a case—especially in the esthetic zone—to more accurately predict outcomes. Topics will include planned implant placement, today’s material choices, management of decay issues, and the importance of properly communicating to patients what implants truly are—and what they are not.
